Day 5

Nothing much going on today. Weight 177.6 - lost 8.1 lbs in 5 days. Decided to break fast, but will continue with modified diet for rest of week while Michele continues on her detox.

Day 4

Felt a little light-headed this morning, noticed that I used the bathroom a lot yesterday - so probably a little dehydrated. Water loss comes from fat breakdown. Day 4 just drinking water, decided to add in some 'sugar' - after drinking vitamin water, actually felt a little worse and got paradoxical hypoglycemic effect (blood sugar drops because of the insulin release). All ok now. Weight is 178.3. Michele doing good and wants to continue until Easter... Don't know if I will go that long.

Day 3

Noticed this morning that my shoes feel loose - pants fit better as well. Weight is 180.6. Have this funny aftertaste in my mouth, a result of whole 'detox' process - have been drinking lots of water. Michele going strong with her Master Cleanse regimen. I'm a little more extreme and going water only. Feeling a little hunger sensation, but tolerable.

Day 2

Today's meal pictured above... Day 2 down - weight 183.1 - doing ok. Overall feeling pretty good. Energy levels are fine. Minimal joint pain which is due to uric acid elevation from cell breakdown (has occurred with previous fasts as well). Easier this time around, as I know what to expect.

Day 1


Michele started her "Master Cleanse" diet today, and I am being supportive and following along. Drank some water, green tea, and a few sips of the maple syrup, lemon, cayenne pepper solution. Doing pretty well - no hunger sensation at all except after eating an altoid. Day 1 down.

"My Diet Starts Tomorrow..."


My weight has been fluctuating over the past month - trending up slightly. I would like to be 175 lbs (Ht 6'2" - BMI 22.3) - as a BMI of <23 is normal for us asians. Michele decided that she is going to do the Master Cleanse thing starting tomorrow. I will be supportive and follow along. It's essentially a fast, so that's what I'll be doing - not sure if I will follow along with the whole lemon, honey, peper, salt water stuff.
